Who is Andrea Knott?

It all began with radio. When Andrea discovered that simply listening to a voice could conjure up images in her head, enhance a message or story, and prompt her to feel something or act on something in particular - she was hooked!

Now, in the business for more than 25 years, Andrea has been the voice and the face of a government cable access channel for a major municipality. With the agency for 12 years, not only was she its voice over talent, she was producer, senior reporter, and host of a variety of news, talk shows and round table discussions, and other government programming. She was also the agency’s writer, and production supervisor. Outside of that realm, she’s been live and recorded announcer for various events, lent her voice to in-store promos, a documentary, educational, political and promotional spots for TV, internet and radio, and message-on-hold/Interactive Voice Response (IVR) placements . She’s also enjoyed the role of producer/host of Michigan Literary Network Radio on blogtalkradio.com since 2009.

For Andrea, the voice-over experience is not just about the sound of the voice, but about what it evokes. There's a story inside every script—long or short—and the intent is to relay that story so it resonates deeply with the listener. She’s also a writer, so she understands the power words hold.
